Sand mining in Sri Lanka, particularly river sand mining, is a significant issue with both economic and environmental consequences. The Geological Survey and Mines Bureau (GSMB) estimates that the total demand for sand will be 12.4 million cubic metres by 2025. Sand mining could be halved by using our motor mix, as it requires less sand in the mix.
